Indoor dogs tend to shed year round, with shedding cycles taking 4 to 6 weeks to complete. The shed hair can matt with the unshed hair or will fall off, creating messes in your home. The Furminator removes the hairs that have been shed, including undercoat and guard hairs without harming the coat hairs.
Used 1 to 2 times per week for 10 to 20 minutes, the Furminator will prevent excess hair from shedding onto your furniture or, in longer haired breeds, from tangling in the topcoat and forming mats and tangles. The Furminator is non abraisive and so is fine for used on the ears and tail. It is recommended that you check for and remove mats prior to using the Furminator as it could get caught, causing discomfort.
