The Bitless Bridle Western Leather Headstall by Dr. Robert Cook is the original bitless bridle that provides a humane alternative to the Bronze Age technology of the bit. The Bitless Bridle is designed to remove the sometimes uncomfortable bit without sacrificing communication and control. Many riders find that their horse is more relaxed and attentive in the bitless bridle without the bit pressing on the tongue. dr. cook bitless western bridle

i reluctantly purchased dr. cook's bitless bridle for my spirited little gelding who knows to do everything with- and to a bit except carry it in the way it is intended. my trainer suspects he may have a history of "too much bit". i have no bitting issues with him whatsoever but once a bit is in his mouth, he will argue with it any way he can! to my utter amazement, i now have a very attentive, cooperative, respectful and smooth striding gelding in a dr. cook bitless bridle! i just cannot believe it and suspect my boy is equally amazed about not having to fuss with a bit. he is a transformed horse, just as wonderful in the saddle now as he has been on the ground all along. yippie!
