The Woof Wear Medical Hoof Boot is a handy boot to have when you need to poultice or treat an injury to the hoof. Made of neoprene with a durable rubber sole, the Medical Hoof Boot has a close fit with a convenient zipper for easy on/off. The close fit means that your medication stays in place and your horse won't end up with painful rubs. It also folds up flat making it easy to stow away in your first aid kit or trunk. Unlike some other hoof treatment boots, the Woof boot is designed for wear in the stall or during turnout and will resist shifting and turning.

  • Keeps wounds, poultices and dressing clean
  • Can be used in the stall or for turnout
  • Durable for repeated use
  • Tread on sole for improved grip
  • Kevlar interior for added durability
  • Unique diagonal zipper design prevents the zipper from opening on its own
  • Machine washable

    Important tips:

  • Do not use the boot while your horse is being ridden

Do not use the Medical Hoof Boot (MHB) in place of an overreach boot to prevent shoe loss. The MHB is not designed for this application and will not protect against overreaching.

  • An overreach boot should be used to cover the MHB on the front and hind hooves to protect both the horse and the MHB from damage.

  • Measure, Measure, Measure...

The MHB is designed to be a snug fit so it doesn't fall off. If you do not measure accurately or buy a size too big it can result in damage to the MHB due to the boot being trodden on by the other foot. Measuring Rules:

  • Measure width carefully before bandaging, with or without shoe
  • Choose size per guide (don't go to next size up)
  • No need to add extra for dressings

Look good but don't wear wellReview by Wila
Fit well, but boot lasted less than 48 hours. Wouldn't buy again. (Posted on 9/29/2017)
Lasted less than 5 daysReview by Nicole
These boots lasted less than 5 days on my horse. The zipper broke on one and he walked through the sole on the other. I would consider them for very limited use but I doubt they will hold up very long. They also caused rubs. I had previously ordered the size he measured from another website and those were impossible to get on his foot. (Posted on 6/20/2017)
Whoa, won't last longReview by Grande
The website for this boot states a very short expected life for this boot. Evidently it Iwill wear out quickly by their own admission. Honesty is good, but wish I had not bought. JUst keeping on hand as my horse has sole/ hoof I issues often. (Posted on 3/18/2017)
Good boot, hard to use Review by Melissa R
My horse has feet that are growing out as a result of poor shoeings and poor hoof quality so he gets packed regularly with Hawthorne products. These boots are a life saver because I'm not fighting diapers, vet wrap and duct tape AND they stay in place on Mr. Destructive. However, they are very hard to get on. If you order like they say they fit the hoof well but are hard to get on and off- think frozen pull on Bell boots. I was hoping they'd stretch but (luckily?) they don't. Be prepared to fight a tad to get the boot on but it will surely stay there once it does. The zipper doesn't go all the way down to the sole like the picture suggests but they don't rub and have great traction. (Posted on 12/11/2016)
